Has been Cubase for me for a few years now. I'm just about to step into Cubase 4. Ive thought about trying some new ones out just to see if I manage to work any different. I used to use Reason a bit, but not so much now. Acid was another I used to use, but it isn't all that great for its MIDI control. One i'm interested in checking out is Ableton for the live aspect.

By the way, Fruity is known as FL Studio now. "More Sophisticated" or something....

The reason I use FL is because it's pretty much the cheapest one out there lol. I know it doesn't have some of the features that other sequencers have, but I can make music with it and I'm happy with it. I may upgrade to Cubase or something in the future, but I'm sticking with FL for a few years I think.

Ever since using Ableton Live my music has come forth so much more than I would have first imagined.

I Found FruityLoops 3.5.6 on my desktop one day.
So i got the latest version (FL 4) and just taught myself from there.

Never really been keen on FL, looks fiddly. No reason to get into it though anyway now.

I remember messing about with FL 2 and then 3 breifly. Hardly did anything with em though. That was back in the day when I didn't even know what a VSTI was, and hadn't even thought about getting external samples.

For a short while I got into Reason 1, and then ended up on Acid doing bootlegs for a while. Eventually ended up on CUbase SX from there and now don't often use Reason or Acid. Acid is really good though for getting an entire acapella in time to a new bpm if you manage to suss out the beatmapper properly. Most ppl can't use this though, but it works if you do manage to work it right.

Oh and ive now got the original version of Cubase 4 and Reason (yes I was a pirate till now). I think im gonna mess a bit more with Reason re-wired to Cubase.

FL has improved SO MUCH since the early days. You might want to give the demo a look-see again. Granted you probably aren't going to spend money on it after all you spent on Cubase and Reason, but hey. Won't hurt to have a look?

I was a logic boy till recently, however the fact that it's no longer supported for PC meant that it wasn't getting any of the new features that things like Cubase and Live are, so I've taken the plunge and installed SX3. So far it's not too bad, although I havn't had the time to actually get serious and write on it. I'm hoping I'll have a chance this week to make a start so watch this space! Have also installed Live 6 so will be checking that out too..

I've actually always wanted Cubase, but only got FL because I could crack it, and now, I think it'll be too difficult to learn interface of Cubase, its a lot more technical I believe,
would that be right Sol?

Well for first time users, it can be annoying, but once you get used to the main features, it isn't that hard at all.
