So lets move onto the questions. We gave him a series of 14 questions to answer for us. Lets see what Mr Ivan has to say for himself then shall we...
When did you start producing music?
Several years ago, around the 1999, I started playing with sounds and influences till I got more serious by 2002
buying my first MIDI controller and software.
What is you main style?
I produce and play everything related with trance music, proggy, progressive trance, all trance styles, also I like
the elektro house music sounds and trends but I try to combine them with trance music, so I would say Trance is the
main style.
Do you have any other current aliases?
Lost signal (Ambient project), Wind & Spirit (with Kopi Luwak and Luke Terry)
What inspired you to start producing electronic dance music.
The needed to express emotions with the music, also, since I like a lot of trance music which I think was the main inspiration
Do you concentrate on a signature sound in your current music, and what is your opinion on artists utilising their
own recognisable sounds?
Well, I think when I started producing music I got a particular style, but the real challenge is to improve your sound everyday,
I think the style must be a part of our label as producers, but using the same sounds or samples in all your songs wouldn´t be something
I could recommend you at all.

How did you get involved in the DJ scene?
My first contact with DJs was with a friend of mine which he already knew how to play on turntables, I had the idea but no experience, he
taught me the basis and offered me the chance to practice with his equipment, after I saw that it was something easy for me (because I
became a producer before DJ) and realizing how wonderful is play in front of people, I decided to become a profesionnal DJ since 2005.
What are you best moments in your DJ life?
Well, I can tell you more than my hands can count but the best one would be in one presentation at Queretaro (Mexican city) where I played for
couple of hours and at the end of my set I saw two guys and one girl crying with the last song I played. that was AMAZING!!
What are your worst DJ experiences?
In my particular experiences I could say that everything has been just fine mostly, but there are some moments that I would prefeer to forget,
for instance when I saw in a gig a guy making me obcenes signals when the other people was just jumping and dancing really happy, I will never
understand that attitude to be honest.
Who would you love to play along side with?
Fortunatly I have played with almost all the producers and DJs I admire, but there is always one I would love to play and I really admire
when he released his BUNKKA!! Mr. Paul Oakenfold
So what is in your studio currently and what are you rating highly equipment/software wise?
In my studio you can find a couple of bottles of beer (empty of course), a PC 3.2 dual core AMD, 8 GB Ram, 19" FLAT LCD display, 1GB bus, 2 Samson
Monitor speakers, a couple of keyboards, and Evolution 5Oct MIDI controller, 2 CDJ400 and DJM600 (DJ equipment) and of course... bunches of my gig`s
flyers

If we gave you £5000, what would spend it on?
well, I would go for vacations a couple of weeks with my GF
Who are your favourite artists and who would you say you have been influenced by in your productions?
I have not favorite artists right now, but I can tell you who I currently admire for their work and dedication on this job. Alex Morph, DJ Shah, Mike Shiver,
Leon Bolier, ROnski Speed, Armin Van Buuren, Maori Levi, Seed Van Riel, Stoneface & Terminal, Paul Oakenfold, Kraftwerk, to mention a few...
What current projects are you working on right now and have you got some new releases out?
I´m finishing a brand new remix for Easton project of their song "Throught loving you", also, I´m working on 3 brand new tracks and I just got part of the
latest MPFS records UK release, Rob De Lacey "Starlight" with my remix of this great song, you can find it on CD or digital download in almost all digital
music stores
AND FINALLY...
Would you draw us a picture using paint of you playing alongside your favourite dj's?....No really we are serious, please do it...:)

Nice attempt, but we think your skills are best kept on the music, we give you a 6 out of 10 for that attempt.
I'm sure we will be hearing a lot more from Ivan in the near future in some of the podcasts. Last heard in podcast 14 with the track Ivan Mateluna feat. Tiff Lacey - Where is the love (Sandro Peres Remix). You have heard his story, who's next, who knows but until next time, thanks for reading and expect more quality artist features in the near future.
